Summary

In the prologue of "Chaos," the Saudi Arabian prince, known as the Handsome One, sailed on his yacht "through the Mediterranean" (3). He was prepared to conquer Qafar, not unlike many before him. He was confident the kingdom's new democratic state would make for an easy hijack (8).

In Chapter 1, Sidi discovered thousands of his bees had been killed by a mysterious predator. Word of their devastation spread throughout the village of Nawa. That night, he asked the villagers if they knew anything about the incident. He decided the predator was not an individual or creature he knew.

In Chapter 2, Sidi could not sleep, worrying about his bees. The predator had brutally killed the bees, and stolen all of the honey. Sidi's bees were his first love. Everyone in Nawa knew his relationship with them "was symbiotic" (14). When the villagers heard what had happened, they sympathized...
