Jerzy Dudek
Jerzy Dudek was the goalie for Liverpool Football Club during the 2005 Champion's League Final. He was born in Poland and watched his father toil in coal mines, going on to train to be a coal miner himself until he experienced success in his soccer-playing on the side. He began getting signed to bigger and bigger teams, culminating in his joining Liverpool and playing in the Champion's League Final. There, the game led to a penalty shoot-out for the title, with Dudek switching up his usual goalie tactics at the last minute and saving a penalty, leading his team to win. Green greatly admires not only Dudek's tenacity of spirit in reaching professional soccer stardom, but he also admires his performance in 2005 at the final.
