Summary
Ed calls Mary to inquire about how she is feeling and she asks if she can come back to his practice because she needs the comfort of somebody being in her life with her. He makes an appointment with her for the next morning and he tells her that something changed in her, that she knows something that she did not before. They talk about Chandra and her deeper yet misunderstood perception of the world compared to other people. After sitting in a comfortable silence, Ed looks at Mary in a way that tells her their work together is over and he might never see her again and she gets up and leaves without saying any goodbyes.
Mary takes a long, winding route home and begins to shake after walking for a while. She leans up against a wall and slumps down...
