Douglas Hunt - Jeffreys is the leak the Ballantyne Scouts is trying to plug. After his briefing with Roland, he sleeps with Dr. Leila St. John. She is his recruit, believing she is working for left wing guerrillas. She tells Douglas about the Umlimo and that she is a patient in the hospital, explaining how important she is to the Matabele people. He arranges for her to get a package containing the details of operation Buffalo to Lusaka, warning the terrorists of Ballantyne's intentions. The package includes details of Roland's wedding and honeymoon at Victoria Falls. Tungata mingles with other passengers on a bus and goes to the Khami Mission. Dr. St. John takes him to see the Umlimo, and he tells her that he wants her to be ready to travel the next day...
