Summary

Chapter 19 resumes a week after the Masquerade Ball. Rosie is disappointed that what occurred between her and Lucas in the bathroom that night had no bearing on their relationship.

While writing in her favorite café, Rosie spots a man in a suit, looking out of place. As she imagines his backstory, she realizes it is Aiden: the handsome contractor. Aiden approaches Rosie and tells her that her apartment will be ready to move back into in five days. Rosie is surprised by the pang of disappointment she feels. She compliments his tux. Just as Aiden is asking her out, Lucas enters the café, carrying takeout from their favorite restaurant. Rosie tells Aiden she is going home with Lucas. When Rosie tells Lucas about her apartment, he hugs her and says it is great news.

Lucas can hardly believe how jealous Aiden makes him...
