Summary

In Chapter 13, Dad asks Rosie and Olly to help him paint his apartment. Rosie is frustrated when Olly does not show up because she knows Dad only asked this favor so he could see them.

Dad’s neighbor, Nora, stops by to say hello. Rosie notices how Dad beams around her. She gets a text from Lucas asking how her father is doing with his hip injury. He offers to leave her some dinner. Dad teases Rosie for grinning at her phone.

When Rosie arrives at Penn Station, she finds Olly waiting for her with a black eye, wearing expensive clothing. When she asks Olly if he is drug dealing, he says he is dancing for money at the club. Rosie can hardly believe Olly is a stripper. Just as Rosie’s Uber arrives, a car comes for Olly. A man his age...
