Chapter Thirty-Two, Morning Summary
Lyra and Will are asleep in the world they were able to escape into after they found their daemons. They are thin from hunger and look more dead than alive. Lyra wakes and calls for Pan, then looks at the graves where they buried Tialys and Salmakia. She refreshes herself and comes back to find Will awake, carving the names of the Gallivespians on the headstone they put on the grave. They wonder where their daemons are, and it must be fairly close by because they do not feel like they did in the world of the dead. They hear the sound of wheels and are worried until Lyra reads the alethiometer and discovers that the creatures are friendly. They are approached by a group of Mulefa who have learned enough English to tell Will and Lyra to come...
