Chapter Thirty, The Clouded Mountain Summary
One again, Mrs. Coulter is piloting the intention craft. This time, she is heading for the Clouded Mountain. As she approaches, she is slightly confused since the Clouded Mountain is not like anything familiar. She lands the craft and gets out, along with her daemon. She sees a group of angels carrying a litter and though it is hard to see inside, it is clear that there is an old angel, an impossibly old angel, being carried about. He has trouble controlling his hands as he points to the intention craft, and he howls in misery.
Mrs. Coulter presents herself to Metatron by talking her way past the angel guard. She says she knows where Lyra's daemon is, and as proof of her faith, she invites Metatron to look at her and tell her what...
