Chapter Twenty-Nine, The Battle on the Plain Summary

Will and Lyra are exhausted, but they still have to move on and find their daemons. The rest they had the night before when they let the ghosts out was not quite enough. Lyra almost cannot read the alethiometer because she is having trouble understanding it and keeping her focus. Lee Scoresby and John Parry are right there and Lee asks to be remembered to Iorek. Lyra gives the nameless harpy a name, Gracious Wings, as a gift for saving her life. The harpy reminds Lyra that they will meet again one day, and Lyra said she will not be afraid, knowing that it will be Gracious Wing who greets her.
