Epilogue Summary
In the Epilogue, Rachel and Paul have renewed their vows in St Petersburg, Russia. Their children and Wayland were in attendance. After Knoll's death, Rachel phoned Pannik. The German, Russian, and Czech authorities all vie for the Amber Room. Because their were no heirs left, German authorities assumed control of the Fellner estate and the panels were sent back to Russia. The identities of the other members of the club were made public and their collections were investigated. The Russian government was so happy, they invited Rachel and Paul to be present at the unveiling. As the novel ends, Rachel and Paul bury Karol and her mother in Belarus. Paul and Rachel are ready to start their new lives together.
