Summary
Fritzi stayed at a hotel with other female pilots while their barracks was going built in Sweetwater, Texas. She ran into Gussie at orientation. Gussie is not flying because she lost her nerve. She wanted to be part of the women pilots effort, though, so she is working in the mess hall.
In “Telling the Children – Point Clear, Alabama,” Sookie met Dee Dee at her favorite tea room to give her the news. Making small talk, Sookie mentioned that Polish people are good natured, hardworking and loyal, and that they excel at piano and accordion.
