Compass

The compass is a symbol of identity. At the Plague Doctor's insistence, Derby sneaks up behind Sebastian and gives him the compass to help Sebastian find his way to Blackheath. Later, Daniel shows Sebastian that the compass has his initials, SB, engraved on it. Thus, the compass belongs to Sebastian, and it is a symbol of Sebastian’s identity.
