Point of View
This novel is told from the narrator's first-person point of view. Consider: “I forget everything between footsteps” (1). Aiden narrates in present tense from his own point of view. His reader is experiencing the plot of the novel developing as Aiden experiences it. The novel is unique because little background information is necessary for the reader.
