Aiden Bishop

Aiden Bishop is the first-person narrator and main character in this novel. Aiden wakes at Blackheath hosted by Sebastian Bell. He has no idea how he came to be there. It is only later that he learns that he followed Anna there because she killed his sister. He believed that being confined to Blackheath was not enough punishment for Anna. So, he dedicated his life to torturing her.

At Blackheath, Aiden forgets how much he hates Anna and what she did to his sister. He comes to see her as a friend who is willing to help him escape even if it means she will have to stay in prison.
