Summary

In Chapter 57, Aiden wakes as the butler. The footman stabbed him, but has not killed him. He believes he was left alive for a reason. Anna is in the room with him, but is tied to a radiator. The footman asks the butler where Davies is. Aiden realizes the footman is asking so Daniel will know where to intercept Davies after he gets out of the carriage.

As the footman torments the butler, Anna manages to pull the radiator free from the wall. The butler throws himself at the footman. He manages to turn the knife into the footman’s stomach, injuring him, but not killing him. The butler throws the knife to Anna so she can finish cutting herself free. As the butler and footman fight, the shotgun falls off the table into Anna’s reach. Anna shoots and kills the footman...
