Summary
In Chapter 23, at Emlen, Diana searched old yearbooks in the library and located Henry “Hal” Shoemaker’s photograph. She noticed some of the remarks included beneath it were veiled references to parties. The last line “Cape Cod Here We Come” (285) made her dizzy. By the time she was finished studying the yearbook, she had identified the boy who held her down as Brad Burlingham and the one who had watched as Daniel Rosen.
Many of the students had included in their inscription “I climbed Mount Katrina” (286) and one was pictured with a girl identified as Katrina Detmer. Diana called Katrina and told her what the boys had written about her. Katrina said she had dated one of the Emlen boys her senior year.
