Summary
In Chapter Seven: "Of Truth and Song,” Joan sits at the alehouse with Bia fashioned around her wrist. While James is nervous, Joan is confident Phillips will give them information in time. As the other actors party, James reveals that they know Phillips is a Fae and begs him to let James continue his apprenticeship. Phillips agrees if they keep the truth a secret and James leaves. Alone, Joan explains what the Fae did to Burbage and Shakespeare. When she asks for any information he can give, Phillip says the pact was made 2,000 years ago. A mortal and Ogun demanded that the strongest Fae stay bound and the rest do no harm. Joan reveals her connection to Ogun and Phillips says the Fae she injured was Auberon; King of the Fae. Phillips mentions a woman who was trapped, but refuses to elaborate. James...
