Chapters 7, 8 and 9 Summary
The following morning, Megan arises early and goes to her workshop where she makes a teapot for Patrick and a bowl for Tim. She meets Patrick on her way back inside and he says that he's missed waking up next to her. She says that if it's left to her mother, they'll wake up next to each other for the rest of their lives. Patrick says it sounds nice, but Megan thinks to herself that he still hasn't seriously asked her to marry him. Patrick admits to himself that he looks and sounds like a fiancée, but hasn't seriously proposed. At two o'clock that afternoon, Megan and her parents arrive at Patrick's house. Megan notes that Patrick's house would be the perfect setting for a wedding and imagines herself, in front of the fireplace, with only family present, who'll remain...
