Summary
In Chapter 15, General Chiarelli’s aide and chef put together a menu for a dinner for which suicide prevention would be the theme. The idea would be to bring to Washington officials the need for more attention to be paid to soldier mental health issues. The dinner never takes place after two congressmen are unable to attend. Chiarelli retires before it can be rescheduled. After his retirement, the number of suicides among the military will rise until it becomes higher than those killed in combat.
