Summary
In Chapter 7, Amanda talks to the owner of a nursery who had promised a baby maple tree that he dug up from her old house could be planted at the new house on the day of the third anniversary of James’ death. She had planted the tree originally in honor of James, now there is concern the nursery owner might not be able to get a crew together to plant the tree. The day of the anniversary of James’ death was one of the worst in a year of bad days. She tried to write about her grief but discovered it did not make her feel much better.
