Summary
T.J and Meg go into the room with the half-open door. Inside is a master bedroom. In bed lies a couple in their sixties--they are dead. Meg and T.J. know these must be the Taylors.' Meg wants desperately to be "out of the house, off the island, away from all of it" (194). She cannot handle all this death. Meg sees sees the door to the bathroom of the bedroom is open. She sees spree writing on the mirror as well. Without thinking, she goes in. Inside, she finds Nathan's corpse. He is fixed to the bathroom door by an arrow, one that was shot directionally into his heart. His mouth hangs open in a silent scream. Meg cannot take it. She runs from the house. All the dead bodies have finally gotten to her. She loses it. T.J. confronts...
