Summary
Christine Hyung-Oak Lee was 33-years-old when she had a stroke. Until then, she was unaware of a hole in her heart. The clot would have acted differently if not for that hole, but the hole allowed it to travel directly to her brain. On December 31, 2006, Christine and her husband Adam were spending their second New Year's holiday in Tahoe. She woke with a headache, but she had a history of migraines. She became confused over the course of the day, unable to remember the names of common things, such as numbers and shapes. She and Adam drove to town.
