Summary
Blythe Carrington had spent most of her adult life in tropical countries, but tonight the humidity, mixed with nickel oxide dust from the mines, was stifling her. As she mixed herself yet another cocktail, she cursed her husband Tip for using the last of the ice. Pamela and Val stormed in as she took her first sip. They were frustrated that there were no other American teenagers in Nicaro, and they insisted on coming to the company meet-and-greet party that evening. Blythe told them to buy something from a catalogue to placate them, then headed off with Tip to the party, hosted by a Cuban investor named Gonzalez at his hunting lodge.
