Summary

In Chapter 19, Turtle leaves immediately to find Anemone. Darkstalker told Anemone “Go kill your mother, if you want. Feel free to kill any other dragons who stand in your way” (194) and Turtle now fears that was an enchantment to make Anemone do just that. He thinks about his family and his past as he rushes toward home. He feels responsibility for Anemone and that keeps him going forward instead of hiding. In the SeaWing tribe, young dragonets participate in an annual ceremony meant to identify animus power. The event is called the Talons of Power. There was enough talk about this that Turtle knew the purpose before he ever saw it.
