Summary

In Chapter 4, Turtle is horrified that Anemone presented herself to Darkstalker (he knew of her existence because of the mind reading) and that her entrance means everyone knows about her power. He cannot imagine why she would choose “draw so much attention” (58). Tsunami rushes to Anemone but Anemone uses magic to keep Tsunami away. Anemone is obviously pleased, saying only another animus dragon can understand her. Turtle feels he does not understand her at all. Tsunami is obviously worried about Anemone's soul but she insists she is fine. Darkstalker says Anemone can cast a lot more spells before her soul is in danger. Winter and Peril are clearly supporting Darkstalker now. Qibli agrees but harbors a bit of doubt and says his brain feels as though “it's trying to swim through honey” (61).
