Summary
In "Notes to a Prodigy," Cassia called Momo and explained her plans for the future. Momo did not understand, though he realized their connection was not what it had once seemed.
Not long later, Momo started watching a prodigy violinist play on television. Her name was Viridiana Bae-Virig, and he was moved by her playing. He felt as if her "music was speaking directly to him" (176). Wanting "to speak back," he wrote her a letter with Larry's help (176). In the letter, he told her about seeing Ivan Padushka years prior.
He watched her on television regularly, and wrote her another letter. The second letter was in Chinese, and provided more details about his life, his relationship to music, and his family.
In "The Wayward Knife," Cassia marveled over Cyrus. He made her think about Junie...
