Chapter 21. Adrift Summary

Lucy goes to the coffee shop where she reads her book The Stranger. She seems to identify with book as she reads about the man who is at his mother's funeral and seems to be breaking all the rules. As Lucy reads Weevil joins her and she notices this time that Weevil is older than she remembered. Lucy finds out that Weevil's name is actually Andy Anderson. Weevil invites her to go to Wayne's Halloween party where instead of dressing in costume everyone dresses the way normal well-dressed people should dress. Weevil tells her that Wayne really liked her.

At home Lucy notices that the chrysalis is changing into a gray, as she inspects she sees that she can actually see the folded up butterfly inside and its transformation is almost complete. Lucy checks her blood and it is at 474 which...
