Chapter 11. French Cuisine Summary

Lucy is in mourning and is showing it by dressing in more black than she usually does. On the way to school Mark joins her as they talk about why she is in trouble with her parents and grades. Mark is surprised she is failing two classes and points out that she hasn't been herself lately and seems really sad. He offers to help her by sharing his notes but Lucy declines.

Through out the day, Lucy is in a bad mood and this gets worse when she starts to have a hypoglycemic episode and gets in trouble with her teacher for eating a granola bar in class. The teacher tells Lucy to go to the school nurse but she goes to the auditorium for the rest of the class period instead.
