Chapter 32, Hazel's Quest Summary

Joe Elegant is back in town and Hazel goes to the Bear Flag to talk to him to get some insight as to what is wrong with Doc. Joe tells him that Doc is being pulled in two different directions and what he really needs is understanding and love. While Hazel is at the Bear House he runs into Fauna and she invites him into her room to talk. Fauna tells hazel that she thinks Doc is in love with Suzy and because he is thinking about her he isn't thinking about his paper so if Suzy were to go to La Jolla with Doc, he would write the paper. The only problem is that Suzy won't go to La Jolla with Doc and he wouldn't take her with him.

Hazel goes to the grocery and talks to Joseph...
