Chapter 31, The Thorny Path of Greatness Summary
After doing a lot of thinking under the Cypress tree, Hazel figures out what he has to do. He is going to talk to Doc and actually listen to what he says because it is the last thing that Doc would expect him to do. As future President, Hazel knows that he has to be honorable and make sacrifices, so he doesn't feel food about his decision but he is willing to do it for Doc.
