Chapter 21, Sweet Thursday Was One Hell of a Day Summary
The boys at the flophouse are doing all they can to get the raffle tickets sold. Most people are willing do buy tickets when they know they are for Doc but for those that don't know Doc, they are using other methods. Joe Blaikey is getting rid of parking tickets if the person buys a raffle ticket, Whitey No. 2 started using intimidation to get people to buy tickets since threw a rock at someone's windshield when they wouldn't buy one, they actually even started spreading the real plan of outsmarting Joseph and Mary, which was enough of a reason for some people to buy tickets.
Mack goes to the laboratory to invite Doc to the party and while he is there also asks him when his birthday...
