Chapter 4, There Would Be No Game Summary
Joseph and Mary is intrigued by Doc's honesty and really likes him. While visiting Doc, Joseph and Mary spots a chessboard and asks Doc to show him how to play. Doc shows Joseph and Mary how to play and the rules of the game when suddenly, he has to take call. When Doc comes back to the game, he noticed that Joseph and Mary has moved some of the pawns. Doc pointed out that he noticed that Joseph and Mary had moved things around and that this is the only game in which you cannot cheat. This statement shocked Joseph and Mary, he could not understand how you could not cheat at something. It was such a novel idea that Joseph and Mary couldn't stop thinking about it.
