Summary
It is now 1984 and Truman is staying with Joanne Carson, submitting to her healthy lifestyle. Truman misses Jack and reminisces about their time together in Morocco for Jack’s 35th birthday. He remembers the love he had for him, how much love Jack provided him. Truman misses the old Jack, a Jack long gone after the pain of seeing Truman change following La Cote Basque. In Truman’s memories, however, Jack still exists as the loving man he once knew.
In Bel Air, Joanne has set up a “writing room” for Truman, although the narrator says that it is a sad excuse for a room. He tells Joanne that he is writing, but of course, she never sees any pages to Answered Prayers.
