Summary

Vijay drove Kiwi to his first session of GED school. He and the other students were given a diagnostic test. He scored a 38/100. He was put in remedial algebra and English II. Vijay was late to pick up Kiwi. He and the girls he had seduced went to watch a movie while Kiwi went to his room to study.

Analysis

In this section of the novel Kiwi began his pursuit of his dreams by going to night school. Notice also in the World of Darkness jingle included in this section there is a reference to Jonah surviving being swallowed by the leviathan, or whale.
