Summary
When the Chief called to see how things were going, Ava told him everything was fine. Ossie barely spoke to Ava and had asked her not to follow her around spying on her. Ava finally bugged Ossie to the point she shared her boyfriend’s story with her. The ghost’s name was Louis Thanksgiving. He was 17, an employee of the Model Land Company. Louis had told his fellow workers only he had been born dead. He mother had died of a ruptured uterus. The doctor believed the baby was stillborn but had been surprised when the baby began to cry. He was adopted by Frederick K. Auschenbliss, a dairy farmer who treated him badly. Louis escaped as soon as possible and headed for Florida.
