Summary
Kiwi waited in line at the payroll office at the World of Darkness. He watched as tourists boarded the ride and began their descent. Once inside the payroll office he told the payroll manager there must have been a mistake because his check stub said he owed the World more than $182 after working there three weeks. Scott, the payroll clerk began adding up all the expenses: food, dorm rent, uniform, city and state taxes, retirement. After all the deductions were explained, Kiwi left the office disappointed he hadn’t made any money to sent to his family.
