Section 6 The Diary pp. 83-114. Summary
Suzanne's next entry in the diary tells of the meeting with Matt's mother, Jean. She is up on the roof working on a TV antenna. It seems his mother has taught Matt to do all the maintenance on the home which is his job. His mother is an artist. His father, a doctor, died when Matt was very young. Matt has a degree in English. The mother and Suzanne get along extremely well.
After leaving his mother they go to a blues club and watch people. Suzanne admits to herself that she has fallen in love. They dance and decide to go to Matt's house to continue dancing. When they arrive, Suzanne sees a home with lots of gingerbread. As they enter the home, she finds a library with thousands of books in floor to ceiling shelving. There are...
