Work Is Not the Most Important Thing in Life

Katie and Suzanne both learn that work isn't the most important thing in life. The story of the five balls is emphasized throughout this book. Four of the balls are glass. A person has to be very careful with the glass balls. They represent the things in life that are fragile and their being broken or cracked can ruin a life and a family. Work is the fifth ball and it is rubber. A job can be lost and it doesn't have to ruin lives if the glass balls are not shattered. The work ball will eventually bounce back and life will continue in a good way. There may be a hard time if one does lose a job while he finds another.
