Chapter 21 Summary

Willie rents a room from a Spanish landlord and changes his name to Julius Lorton. He also has plastic surgery to change his appearance. Willie also meets Margaret, a prostitute that is half Irish and from Cairo. Margaret is about twenty years younger than Willie and one of her eyes is bigger than the other one. As their relationship continues, he ends up convincing Margaret to let him take her to the doctor to have her eye checked out.

Chapter 21 Analysis

Now that Willie is happy once again with Margaret, it foreshadows something bad happening in his life. As is his history, when things are going right, it is typically the point where Willie is arrested.
