Chapters 24, 23 & 22 Summary

Before the plane crashes, Tender wants everyone to know that the Book of Very Common Prayer was not his idea. While the book did sell two hundred million copies, it was all the agents' idea. Tender never actually even read the book until the second press run. He does not see the book until someone asks for his autograph.

The book contains prayers such as: the Prayer to Delay Orgasm, the Prayer to Loose Weight, the Prayer to Stop Smoking, the Prayer to Prevent Hair loss, the Prayer for a Parking Space, etc. Tender maintains that a lot of people actually used the book but began to get angry when the prayers would not work.
