Summary
It seems to Peter that Dad’s work on his book is not going well – he is spending a lot more time at home, talking about cooking and gardening, than he is doing research and writing. He also spends a lot of time going to the games of the Princeton University hockey team, particularly when Jimmy comes for another visit. At one game, Jimmy gets excited by the possibility of a fight breaking out, and starts yelling when one actually does. Dad gets increasingly uncomfortable, and Peter tries to get Jimmy to calm down. Later, Jimmy reveals that he is seeing the school psychiatrist for help with the anger and aggression he feels in the aftermath of his parents’ divorce, which he describes as a catastrophe.
