Point of View
Gary Shteyngart tells his novel Super Sad True Love Story in the first-person limited-omniscient perspective, from the points of view of both Lenny and Eunice. The novel is presented as a series of diary entries, e-mails, social media messages, and instant messages. The diary entries are all from Lenny’s point of view (given that he is more old-fashioned and still writes things by hand) while the majority of electronic communications are from Eunice (since the majority of her communications are online).
