Tokyo - February, 1995

The story is set in Tokyo, Japan in February of the year 1995. Historically, this time is significant for Japan because it is just one month after the destructive Kobe earthquake of 1995. In the story, Frog warns that an even more destructive earthquake will strike Tokyo if Frog and Katagiri do not stop it.

Katagiri’s Apartment

The story opens in February of 1995 in Katagiri’s apartment. Katagiri lives alone. Katagiri arrives home one day to find Frog there. Frog introduces himself and says that an earthquake will strike Tokyo in three days unless Katagiri helps Frog stop it. Katagiri is quite baffled by Frog, but he soon believes that Frog is telling the truth, and Katagiri agrees to help.

Office
