Summary
In Chapter 3, “Team Building,” the next day, Jarrett convinced “Diego to experience the water” (86). They decided to go out on a pedal boat, although Jarrett knew it would be difficult. Because Diego could not pedal, Jarrett struggled to return to shore after their time on the water. Diego started laughing at Jarrett’s attempts to pedal both their weights “against the lake’s drift” (89). Noticing their struggle, Gary got a rowboat and towed them back to shore (89). On the dock, Jarrett fell back into the water. Diego laughed. Jarrett was glad he had enjoyed himself (91).
