Georgy Woolsey
Georgy's real name is Georgenna Muirson Woolsey, but she is typically called Georgy. She is one of the narrators of this novel. She is strong and determined, which often comes across as pushy and rude. She falls in the middle of the family with several sisters older and younger than she. Georgy struggles emotionally, partly because she feels guilty that her father died when he was rushing back to New York for Georgy's piano recital. Georgy has been in a relationship with Dr. Frank Bacon for several years. However, she is unable to fully commit to that relationship until she faces up to her guilt and moves past it.
