Summary
In Act III, Chapter 7, Cedar notices that Meg looks extremely tired when she and Leo enter the costume department. Meg is working alone. Cedar feels even worse for having taken Lisette's ring. Meg takes them to a tunnel entrance and unlocks the door. She warns that she is leaving in a half hour, and that she will leave them locked inside if they aren't back in that time. Cedar knows she will not let Meg down again.
In Act III, Chapter 8, Cedar had expected tunnels that looked like mine shafts, but they resemble narrow hallways. The paint is dirty gray, the tunnel repeatedly branches off, and the concrete floor is chipped.
