Summary

In Act II, Chapter 8, Shannon cancels their television subscription and tells Cedar she is not allowed to watch the soap opera any longer. Cedar outright lies about where she is going that morning, saying she is going running with Leo. When she meets Leo, she says she and Miles need to come to his house to watch the soap opera. Cedar believes Miles “was never going to get over this if he didn't see Harley get out of that box” (84), and is almost certain that Harley eventually would get out. Shannon grounds Cedar, but allows her to keep running with Leo and to keep working. Cedar does not point out that those are the only places she goes.
