Summary

In Act II, Chapter 1, a boy named Cory gets a job at Summerlost. He is one of the group Cedar dubbed the Hellfarts. Cory tries to act as if he is too cool for the job and Gary threatens to fire him for not wearing his hat. Cedar quietly makes farting noises when Cory walks by, making Leo laugh.

In Act II, Chapter 2, Leo and Cedar encounter Daniel Alexander, the man who founded the Summerlost Festival almost a half century earlier. He is very nice. Daniel knew Lisette, and Cedar believes Leo should interview Daniel in search of new information for the tour. Leo knows Daniel would be angry if he knew about the tour. Cedar startles Daniel with her greeting, and he spills a drink on her. He sends her to the costume room, saying she should...
