Chapters 16-20 Summary

The attackers are two of the three people from Ronald Reuel's funeral. The large girl with the green hair introduces herself as Meryl, and the small man as Fix. Meryl apologizes to Harry for hitting him outside the funeral home and that she and Fix have been sitting by his car waiting for him to return. Meryl and Fix want to hire Harry to find their missing friend, Lily. Meryl goes on to explain that she and her friends are changelings, half human and half fae. Meryl is half troll. The group is attached to the Winter Court, but they have not decided if they will be human or fae. Ronald Reuel had been protecting them, especially Lily, who had been being treated badly by Lloyd Slate.
