In The Day of Reckoning, Scarlett suggests that Spencer should tell his parents that the play is a joint NYU-Julliard production since some of the actors are from the renowned schools. Trying to write while waiting for Spencer, Scarlett is distracted by thoughts of Eric. When Spencer tells Scarlett and Lola that he told his parents that it is an invitation audition for Julliard and they will think about it and let him know tomorrow, Lola disapproves because she thinks Spencer should plan for his future with more certainty; Scarlett insists it is possible, but Lola claims it would take some sort of miracle.
